It is made from LFGB platinum food-safe silicone and is rated to 500F.
The BreadMat will reduce dark spots and encourage even baking on the bottom of your loaf, but if it still too dark after using The BreadMat, it is recommended to place a heavy baking sheet on the bottom rack of your oven to act as a heat shield to further reduce darkening and to protect your BreadMat from excessive heat.

This BreadMat has improved my sourdough baking quite a lot! I no longer need to use parchment paper, which repeatedly left ugly baked-in divots along the sides of my loaf, even if I crumpled it before use. I no longer need to use a separate baking pan under my Dutch oven to keep the bottom of loaf from being charred because the slightly raised design of the mat helps to prevent this. Overall, it is easy to use. I highly recommend this product!!
