I offer two shapes of proofing basket, a round and an oval . My go-to size is an 875g oval, but hey, some prefer the round!
The oval basket is for loaves 750 – 1000g (875g sweet spot)
The round is for loaves 650 – 900g (750g sweet spot)
*I have had many bakers bake 500g loaves in both and love them!
These are the only basket I use in my baking.
These wood pulp proofing baskets are hand made in Germany, so slight fluctuations in color and size basket to basket are expected.

I never thought that switching from rattan bannetons to RHSD wood pulp bannetons would make SUCH a world of a difference! These bannetons wick moisture and reduce condensation on the surface of the dough, which prevents sticking and results in a crispier artisan crust! Since switching to RHSD wood pulp bannetons, my loaves have been noticeably easier to score and my crust has been consistently crisp. The best part is they’re so clean and care for. No more washing cloth banneton liners or dealing with crevices from rattan bannetons! Highly highly recommend these bannetons paired with TheBreadMat!

I LOVE these baskets! The oval shape is perfect and they are so easy to care for. I think my favorite feature is the way by loaves hold their shape after I turn them out into the bread mat for scoring. It’s like magic! I also like the way they stack easily in my cupboard. The size is perfect. The bread mat is also so handy! Can’t bake without these items now. Oh, and shipping was incredibly fast, even to Alaska!
