I offer two shapes of proofing basket, a round and an oval . My go-to size is an 875g oval, but hey, some prefer the round!
The oval basket is for loaves 750 – 1000g (875g sweet spot)
The round is for loaves 650 – 900g (750g sweet spot)
*I have had many bakers bake 500g loaves in both and love them!
These are the only basket I use in my baking.
These wood pulp proofing baskets are hand made in Germany, so slight fluctuations in color and size basket to basket are expected.

Love this basket – easy to prepare, use and love that it doesn’t need a liner or linen. Dough loves this proofing basket! As a smaller loaf-size baker, I would love one for 500 – 750g loaves, but no complaints here!

My favorite banneton! I wish I had at least twenty of them! 🙂 I love the shape and feel of the dough when they’ve proofed in the wood pulp bannetons over other types of proofing bowls. Once my loaves are baked, I can tell which ones had been in these bowls and I love how they look.

The proofing baskets are amazing! No more caked up flour on the canvas bags like my other ones! Also the bread mat was a game changer. The bottoms of my loaves are much easier to slice since I’ve started using the them! Way to go with that engineering bud!

I love these proofing baskets as nothing will stick to the insides as sometime exhibited by rattan baskets. Also inadvertently left a basket of dough for a week in the fridge and there was no problem releasing the dough from the banneton. I throw the baskets in the oven to dry after baking and that works great!
