Strong handles make moving bread in and out of a hot oven easier and safer than using parchment.
The unique patented design enhances heat distribution, evening color and reducing burns.
It is made from LFGB platinum food-safe silicone and is rated to 500F.
The BreadMat will reduce dark spots and encourage even baking on the bottom of your loaf, but if it still too dark after using The BreadMat, it is recommended to place a heavy baking sheet on the bottom rack of your oven to act as a heat shield to further reduce darkening and to protect your BreadMat from excessive heat.

I ordered the breadmat-C about two weeks ago. During that time I have baked approximately 50 loaves of artisan sourdough bread. Prior to the breadmat, I used parchment paper, either from Challenger or from the store. Using the breadmat eliminated any difficulties that I had getting the bread into my two Challenger Bakers and the breadmat eliminated the bottom of the bread getting too dark. The breadmat does need to be washed after each bake, but that is fairly simple when accomplished by the directions provided. These are the best accessory for my bread that I have purchased and if they ever do wear out I would buy them again. After the parchment broke as I lifted a batard into my Dutch oven, dropping my carefully crafted loaf to the floor, I decided to order the BreadMat. I only shape batards, and they fit on the mat with ends extending toward the handles. This leaves the handles a bit short to remove the finished loaves easily, but it’s certainly doable. What really surprised me, is how much more evenly the entire loaf browns. I’ve been baking sourdough for nearly 3 years, and am very happy with this purchase – solves a problem and improves bread that I hadn’t realized could be better.

If I could give these mats 10 stars I would. They have literally changed the game in Dutch oven baking. I ordered 2 of the long handled mats and they are fantastic.
1) easy set up ( no cutting parchment
2) easy cleanup with a rinse and fast air dry
3) crust at the bottom of the bread is thin and not burnt at all!
