Cilantro (coriander) is growing incredibly well in my garden. Perfect. Because I put it on everything!
When I used to run my pop ups and catering events, by far and wide my most requested pizza was the elote street corn.
It is a summery pizza topped with grilled corn, cotija cheese, a cream cheese sauce, and buckets of green sauce.
The green sauce is basically just cilantro, oil, garlic, Serrano pepper, and a tiny bit of mustard and apple cider vinegar. But its mostly cilantro. To the point where I’d just buy out my grocery store if cilantro when I had an event coming up 😂
I had some friends over this past weekend, made them the elote pizza, and had some green sauce left over. So on a sandwich it went. And it was amazing. Because it’s always amazing! It’s based off the green sauce from my favorite pizza place when I lived in the East Bay, @sliverpizzeria . There’s is better than mine. But mine is still pretty good!
